PS: Anything published in America (including DVD's) will be a little grainy and blurry to anyone in the UK, something to do with pixels... I'll say if it's contrary to this fact.

I have a Playstation 2 to play my DVD's on, and I wasn't going to risk getting my baby chipped. So this is the best thing ever, this handy little decoder is just the ticket for all your American DVD needs.
How to Use it... Take out ALL your memory cards! Put in the card you get with it, then throw in the RegionX CD, wait for the screen to appear with numbers on it, press the X button, (the RegionX cd pops out), throw in your anime DVD, wait for the Disc to appear onscreen then press X again and sit back and enjoy!
WARNING!... You NEED a TV that's American PAL compatible!!! otherwise you will be watching your DVD in Black and white, (This goes the same for American VHS) I don't know what to look for to check your TV, other than taking your PS2 to a TV sellers and plugging it in... Where to BUY!... I bought mine from amazon.co.uk for £9.99... There are other decoders out on the market but from what I've heard this is the most reliable, and I swear buy it.

OMG!... like... OMG! This anime is unbelievably exhalent... the computer graphics just melt into the animation seamlessly and as for the animation it's self... stupendous! (anyone who's seen Monster City, Wicked City or that new Animatrix, it's done by them)... Review: D is hired by a guy to save his daughter who has been kidnapped by a Lord Vampire... But has she really been kidnapped or did she go willing? Not only does D have to face trying to save the girl 'one way or another' he also has to compete with some Brothers who were also hired to save the girl... Big fights, black carriages, cyborge horses, pretty girls and boys with a few dozen buckets of blood thrown all over it with cross's and you have this anime eye candy that just has you drooling for more! I loved the original Vampire Hunter D anime, but this one just blows it all away, also keeping to the original.

This was the first Yaoi anime I ever watched after finding an English distributor, jumped on it and I wasn't disappointed. Review :: This anime starts with Dee and Ryo on holiday together in England, thinking that they left their hectic police jobs in New York behind to spend a weekend in the country... But after avoiding Dee's advances, Ryo sees a body floating in the lake and Dee's hope of a quite holiday trying to seduce his partner shatter. The plot thickens as Ryo's adopted kid and his friend show up. Ghosts, murderers and sexually frustrated NYPD's all fall together in the best anime I've ever seen. A mix of silly hummer and intrigue just keep you glued to the screen, the relationship between all the chara is just wonderful and very human. The animation isn't the best but sticks to the style of the Manga, also the English dub is exhalent! This is a light hearted anime and one of the best MM/kissing anime I've seen! A must buy for EVERYONE! Warning: Nothing beyond kissing and fondling (but it's all goooood)

But you will note that the DVD is released by the same people that released the VHS, but yet the Age Certificates are 3 years out? don't ask I have no idea...

Finally some *coughs sarcastically* Yaoi in the western market... The two main guys get it on, and the novelty of the invisible nether regions will have you giggling when your not grinning with the warm fuzzis... All in all this is your typical little yaoi story line...

The REAL Review; Kazumoi brakes up with his latest girlfriend and finds himself homeless, seeing a cute guy on the street he follows him then proceeds to chat him up, the guy is an up and coming supermodel called Mizuki... Mizuki offers the sofa when Kazumoi thanks him then offers to pay rent with ------ favours. Mizuki (after a bit of reluctance) sees the bonus in this and falls in love with the older guy. One day Mizuki and his older brother are invited to see the biggest company in Japans head, who just turns out to be Kazumoi's twin sister, Haruno, She just wants to know if this kid truly loves her brother... And basically Kazumoi who was the eternal ------- finally finds true love... the end and a case of the warm fuzzies!

This is now one of my faves, it's a little short, but well made considering the original art style! very cute... maybe not worth the cash you pay, but hell it's got --- with invisible willis in it WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED!

The first episode on this DVD was done in an early 80's style, and the quality of it is very poor, the 2nd one is mid 80's and the last 2 are about early 90's and the cover (opposite) is from these episodes. Review: "Two angels descend from the heavens, their purpose is to judge humanity - and each other. The first is Kagetsuya, an angel of Vengeance with a heart of fire, (the blond haired one). His partner is Chihaya, an angel of Compassion who has been cursed with black wings and hair (The Purple haired kid). Together they learn the meaning of Heaven's wrath, confront Hell's madness and quest for Humanity's faith. They may uncover joy and hope, or they may find nothing but hurt and bitterness. One thing is certain however, their journey will change the hearts of everyone in its path. Embrace the passion and tragedy that is Earthian"... But all that's from the back of the cover winks... Basically Chihaya just runs around moaning cause he thinks he has cancer (when angels have cancer their wings and hair turn black, never mind that he was BORN that way) he's just mostly clueless and a bit sappy. Warning: All in all this is a good anime, the animation get's better with each episode. There is some kissing and the initiation of --- seen, but that's about all, it's all very cute. well worth getting!

Translation: Apart from the fact they changed the name and confused most established fans, they also went out and never listened to the original Japanese voiceovers... The Voiceovers isn't that good, but hell you get used to it eventually, they stuck almost as close as they could to the original translation.
Review: It's set in the world of the dead, run by Sinegami (Angels of Death). They make sure that people die when they should and not before or after. Mostly focusing on Tsuzuki who is the most powerful if the most accident prone Shinagami with no clue. We follow him about as he tries to solve cases with his new partner, as he's chased and hounded buy the main bad guy...
This tail is an exhalent one that worms your heart and has you giggaling like a silly bugger... I love this anime.

Review: This anime has a slow and complicated start, but once you get past the first 2 episodes where it explains everything in a like of crash course... but once you get past that, that's when the good stuff starts and the story as it is kicks off... Trying to follow all the plot twists and turns as well as the history isn't funny and can't really be done in one sitting. The animation is consistent all through, though this title isn't really Yaoi, there isnt anything graphic but it is hinted at greatly.
The animation is top class and really pretty, and gives us exactly what it has on the cover :P
Translation: The translation I assume is good... But the dubbing is first class! one of the best I have seen... or it just could be it's easier to understand in English.
Boxed Set: The Special Edition of the first DVD is the boxed set, it's rather a pretty affair. Their are 2 boxes, one that the DVD's go into (the one with the gold pattern) and that then slips into the box with the cut out cross on both side. the box will fir 4 DVD's.
DVD Special Features:
Disc 1 = 4 Postcards and a Title-less opening
Disc 2 = Hidden BLOOPERS! Select 'Trailers' - Click the -> arrow 5 times until nothing is highlighted - Click 'Enter' = Crank up the volume and have a chuckle ^_^.
Disc 3 = Original Anime Chara Sketches Part 1 - this is nothing new on a disc, but it's basically half of the artbook (minus original foot notes)
Disc 4 = Original Anime Chara Sketches Part 2 - This is the rest of the art book.

This is a great little series, it's not very graphic, kissing is about all you get, but the strange hummer is more than worth it... It's not as intensive or as really amusing as the Manga, but then it is an anime so there will be some differences. The English Translation on this copy is TERRIBLE! if you can download the Fan sub's off the internet then DO so...

DON'T BUY THIS! Save your pennies and try and find the manga even if you cant understand a word. The anime art is just crap and does Kazuma Kodaka original work no justice, the story it's self is disjointed and as for Yaoi I think FAKE has more action. in the 30 mins you feel nothing for the chara and unless you at least know the basics of the manga story you will just be lost. I was very sorly disapointed in this anime and should have sent it back if I and the people who got it for me didnt have so much truble in getting it for me. If you know someone who has got it, lend it from them or just forget about it... It's a good story idea best saved for the manga.

Shonen-ai content, well at least with one chara anyhow... The original art and Pro-mo anime art for this anime is astounding and most people drooled over it before it's release... but the Anime it's self? crap. It's beautifully rendered but the story just has you blinking at the screen waiting for something, anything to make sense, then it ends leaving you feeling cheated somehow. I was very poor when I bought this and would have taken it back but for the Shonen-ai aspect I thought I would never see again in England and the art work still has me drooling I kept it... This is almost what I class a rare Anime mostly because it's no longer published and very few people have it or have ever watched it. For art buffs only, watch it with the sound off :P

Take "Interview with the Vampire" throw in a lot of "Angel" (the great spin off from Buffy) add a splash of "Vampire Princess Miyu" and "Dracula" and you come out with this Anime... Shido is a Vampire who cant remember being Human, he hunts demons (night breed) from the darkness who kill humans, where he has sworn never to hurt them himself. He lives as a privet detective and has help from a human detective who gives him her blood for helping to solve a case. This anime sounds cooler than it actually is, This is an anime court on the boring plain between Comedy or horror, hinting on both but never settling on either. It's good, but you just cant help feeling it could be so much more... Only get this if you have the cash and the time to waist watching it...
