Saiyuki, The amusing Journey to India, well.. almost ^_^ |

The Story: Saiyuki
is loosely based on the old fable 'Journey to the West' but instead of
going to retrieve Scriptures, they are going to find out why and stop the
'Demon Wave' that has sent all demons (who lived peacefully with humans)
insane, and then attack humans.
So a band of 4 is sent to go sort it out, Genjo Sanzo, a high up priest,
with an credit card and a gun. Sho Goku, a demon born of heaven and earth
with an empty stomach. Sha Gojyo, a half breed human & Demon, a forbidden
child, and Cho Hakkai, who once was human, but killed 1000 demon's and is
now one himself. not forgetting Jippu/Kouriou the little dragon that turns
into a Jeep.
So this is the story about them, getting together and stomping their way
to India, getting attacked along the way ^_^... Nothing more to say, other
than read it, you will not be disappointed ^_~

Yet again I'm going to have to send a letter to Tokyopop
for bringing us this manga, I like to think that anyone who took my advice
and e-mailed them from this page telling them we wanted it, helped in it
being published... now lets sit back and pester them for other manga's by
Minekura!!!!

Why are the covers Different? |
The Japanese ones I got are the
first publication of the manga in Japanese, they have since been re-released
and Tokyopop is using the 2nd printed cover of the manga. |

Is there a difference in the
printing? |
1) So far the English copies have 4
colour prints at the beginning the Japanese 1st one doesn't have
2) The Japanese ones are lager than the English one's |

What the Translation like? |
Wonderful! they have yet again done
a great job! They have thankfully not translated the sound effects, and so
far it's looking promising... |

Is there anything else? |
The only thing I'm keeping an eye
out for is whether they actually put in the fact that Hakkai was actually
doing it with his sister, a fact the anime company that translated it
glossed over REALLY badly.... |
