Welcome
to my Saiyuki ~ Verses ~ Weiss Kreuz page! This
page was originally lost with my WK gallery (that has no plans of
being reinstated) and since then I have had the pleasure of seeing
season 1 & 2 of WK and almost the whole first season of
Saiyuki... So this page now has a little more insight into the
worlds that these two manga's come from, one great and one not so
great :P |

these two manga's...

quite finished yet... Please forgive the blanks :P
I will state here that
I'm more of a Saiyuki Fan, it was also one of my first
passions :P

Saiyuki story line in
Brief
Saiyuki is basically a modern re-telling of the 'Journey
to the West' story, of if anyone's seen the old badly dubbed 'Monkey
King' and knows who Chippi'taka is... then you have the basic story...
Demons and Humans lived together in harmony together until something
happened and all the Yokai went mad and started killing the humans...
Genjyo Sanzo is the priest who must journey into the west and sort out
the problem. But he hates Demons, and isn't happy when he get's
lumbered with three of them. And so the story starts...

Weiss Kreuz story in Brief
Weiss Kreuz is a story about
four young men who, du to their own circumstances, became Assassins
for a mysteries boss. They work in a flower shop by day and kill the
bad guys by night...
Aya fights for his sister, Yoji fights for his lost partner, Ken
fights for justice and Omi fights because he was saved by the boss
they work for... All in all accumulating in a strange story full of
angst, as they fight for their loved ones, to stop the evil
murdering bad guys and they fight for their identity...

First let me introduce you to the Boy's...

|
Genjo Sanzo
Genjo is the reluctant High Priest who is forced
to work with the others, especially Demons. He's a little cold and stand-offish. But he
finally sees the light of friendship, even if he wont acknowledge it
anytime soon. He's also an Orphan rescued by the previous Sanzo when he
was a baby.
He's not the cool headed one but is the leader of sorts...

Aya
(Ran) Fujimiya
Aya's parents were killed the same day his sister
was put into a coma (Anime or Manga the same).. He fights to
find and kill the people who took his family from him.
He's not thrilled to be working with the others, and keeps himself to
himself.
He's the cool headed leader, though he seems distant from them.

Sha Gojyo
Gojyo is half demon, half human. cause his hair and eyes
are that of a halfling, always red...
He's the ladies
man, Smokes, drinks and is always chatting up anything in a skirt when not
killing demons or antagonising Goku.
He's the charmer of the group.

Yoji
Kudoh
Yoji is the ladies man and charmer. The oldest of
the four he has a heart of gold even if he is another chronic smoker
(Manga only)... He treats them all as he would younger siblings. He's
fighting because their boss saved him when his partner died and offered
him a way of getting revenge.
He's the charmer of the group.

Cho Hakkai
Hakkai is a full demon (was once human), and the 'Demon Limiter'
he wears on his ear stops him from bugging out demon.
He's the calm, level headed one who deals out soul healing advice when
needed. He tries to calm situations but lacks the authority to do it.
He is the nice one in the 4-sum.

Ken
Hidaka
Ken's used to be a football player, until he was
accused of cheating and his career was ruined.
He's a bit rash at times, but again has a heart that's to big for his
chest, not good in the assassin business.
He's the typical teenager of the group.

Goku
Goku isn't a demon, nor is he human, non one knows
what he is, you just don't mess. he usually wears a
crown as his 'Demon Limiter' and when he goes demon he goes ape-spit...
The kid in the group always thinking with his stomach. Even though he's
meant to be 18, he's 500 years old and counting.
He's not the brightest spark on the planet, but can fight like hell when
needed.

Omi
Tsukiyono
Omi was saved by their boss when his own farther
wouldn't pay his ransom... Omi fights for his loyalty and because he likes
the others, He's the computer-wizz and one of the more level headed ones.
He's the large eyed kid of the group.

Ok on with the chara comparisons..

Prose ~ Both
cold and lumped with three other guys they would rather have nothing to do
with... They are both the vague leader of their company of which the
others all turn at times... They both have them long haired bits by their
ears...
Cons ~ Aya has a sword and Sanzo has a Pistol - Sanzo is violent towards
his colleagues when they piss him off and he sometimes shows his emotions,
where as Aya is sometimes so anal it hurts. Sanzo also has nothing of a
fixation with his sister, even if he doesn't have one :P |

Their both the more thoughtful one and seem to be the almost natural
leader. They both have something for their younger sisters who are either
dead or in a coma.
Cons ~ Aya didn't have sex with his sister... ^_^ |

one is almost too easy - Both the tall good looking ones in the group, both
mad about women.

Prose ~
Both meant to be about 18 years old, they have the same kind of hair,
and big bulging eyes. They both seem to spend a lot of time running about
and falling from Trees? Basically they are the same chara. Both of them
suffer from amnesia. They both have cool weapons.
Cons ~ Goku isn't the brightest spark on the planet, where as Omi
is a brainy kid. |
